CCNA exam domain: Network Fundamentals
Configure IPv6 global unicast on a router-to-router link using EUI-64-derived interface IDs. Enable IPv6 unicast routing, set explicit link-local addresses, and verify that each router auto-forms its 64-bit interface ID from the MAC (FFFE insertion with U/L bit flip). Validate directly-connected reachability only. No routing protocols or static routes.

Troubleshooting focus
- Forgetting 'ipv6 unicast-routing' prevents global IPv6 from forming/forwarding.
- Wrong prefix on one end (not /64 or not the same /64) prevents neighbor reachability.
- Interface shutdown or wrong physical port assignment breaks the link.
- Duplicate/mistyped link-local address can cause neighbor confusion or ND anomalies.
- Relying on SLAAC or DHCPv6 on a point-to-point when the peer expects manual config.
